You’re invited! ITD wants to hear about ideas to improve transportation in the study areas. ITD has begun the process of studying needed improvements on State Highway 8 between the Washington State Line and Troy, and US-95 between Snow Road and the Latah/Benewah County line. Both efforts are PEL studies, also known as Planning and Environmental Linkages studies. A PEL study is the first step in evaluating potential transportation solutions for current and future needs. ITD will consider and document environmental, community, and economic goals and impacts for transportation during the planning process. Community input is fundamental to the PEL process. This public meeting is the first of many opportunities you will have to participate in both the State Highway 8 and US-95 studies.
